Mongolian poetry is closely related to nature, so it is common to express the colors and feelings of people and nature through the land, rivers, mountains, wind, animals, plants and flowers. The basic unit of Mongolian poetry is a two- and three-line verse. One of the remarkable achievements in the history of human written culture is poetry, an art form that expresses and conveys elegant and harmonious language, ideas, emotions, thoughts, and intellectual capacity.Since poetry is the art of thought, it is a form of literature that most vividly and directly reflects the society and era in which it was created. Moreover, a poet can express their emotions, sensitivities, deep reflections, contemplations, joys, and sorrows exactly as they are, using the artistry of words to evoke feelings. They can also depict these emotions by harmonizing them with the colors, events, and natural phenomena of the world, creating vivid and remarkable imagery-this is the essence of a poet’s talent and intellectual nature.Through this study, we aim to translate the lyrical rhythm and expressive beauty of Mongolian poetry along with the poet’s emotions and thoughts into Korean-style poetry, and to share it with readers.
The folk literature of any nation contains not only common features of human mythological thinking, but also unique differences of thinking related to the worldview, religion, language, culture, symbolism, customs, and history of that nation. There are lot of themes of symbolic attributes of numbers in Mongolian folktales, especially of odd numbers, and that symbolism is expressed based on life, work, and brotherhood of the characters of the story. There are many fairy tales among Korean folktales as well that contain the symbolism of numbers. Like Mongolian fairy tales, the theme of the tale is named with a symbolic number and those symbolic numbers are embedded within the content. The folktales of any nation carry the responsibility to distinguish features and values of history of country’s early development, traditions, and of life of the people from other countries, and to pass them on a heritage. For such roles, various tools had been developed and used taking shape in a way that incorporates the symbols of numbers in fairy tales.

A realist tale is a tale that tells stories and difficult experiences about the complex realities of human life and society as a lesson in a simple way that resembles real life. In a fairy tale, animals are depicted as human beings, while in a realist tale, human life and society is depicted as ordinary as in real life. Hero in a heroic epic is a giant, strong, kind-hearted, and unusual hero who embodies the ideals and all good qualities of the tribe, while in a realist tale, the hero is an ordinary person or an individual as a member of society (an old man and a woman, an orphaned poor boy, a strong and intelligent young man, a wise and wise daughter-in-law etc.) who does not stand out in any way from others
