The Public Administration Department (PAD) of School of International Relations and Public Administration (SIRPA), National University of Mongolia (NUM) has developed a program for enhancing critical elements of Mongolia’s democratic and civil society building efforts. The program has three goals including: 1) to support good governance by further developing capacity of Mongolian civil servants in the areas of democratic public policy-making, 2) to enhance the educational and training capacities of the PAD, NUM and 3) to learn from practical US experiences in good government and public policy-making. Our proposed program seeks to obtain a deeper understanding of U.S. values and policies as they relate to governance and policy-making by inviting and financing Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy’s travel to Mongolia which will allow him to undertake a series of presentations, training seminars for civil servants, student and faculty lectures and educational program development
