The spread of COVID-19 is causing unprecedented challenges to the education system around the world. Since February 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a sudden disruption of the education process and all levels of education transferred to online mode in Mongolia. This study seeks to find out the students' attitudes towards online English teaching at the National University of Mongolia (NUM) to have a better understanding of the students’ issues and improve their attitudes. For this purpose, 58 students of the National University of Mongolia were distributed a questionnaire to measure their perspectives. The majority of the students feel positive about having online ESL classes, but some technical and personal challenges such as connection problems, limited computer skills encountered by the students were revealed. Судлаачид энэхүү тоон аргын судалгаагаар төрийн өмчит болон хувийн их дээд сургуулийн англи хэлний 250 орчим багш нарын тэдний мэргэжлийн хөгжлийн талаарх хандлагад дүн шинжилгээ хийсэн болно. Судалгааны үр дүнгээр багш нар хэдийгээр мэргэжлийн хөгжлийн сургалтуудын чанарт сэтгэл дундуур байгаа ч мэргэжлээрээ хөгжих хүсэлтэй, эерэг хандлагатай байна.

Diplomatic translation is carried out within diplomatic missions, embassies and consulates. This paper aims to explore the language of diplomacy which has been used since the ancient times until today and how the usage decreased and increased over the period of the time; the functions and features of diplomatic interpretation and translation. In addition to that, the paper highlighted some challenges encountered by interpreters and translators; also emphasized newly-emerged terms and discourses in the language of diplomacy. Abstract Technology has been extensively exploited to facilitate teaching and learning activities. One of the technology types generated by the Internet to promote classroom activities is Edmodo, which is a free educational learning platform used to allow teachers to construct and cope with an online classroom that allows students to connect and work with their peers and teachers anywhere and anytime. This paper aims at exploring students’ insights into the teacher’s use of Edmodo in English teaching and its contribution to the development of autonomous learning skills. The 64 students majoring in International Relations at the National University of Mongolia were recruited to participate in this study and the research data obtained through questionnaires in Mongolian language. The findings indicate that the students perceive Edmodo as a great, and user-friendly social learning network that enables them to develop their language skills and their autonomous learning by practicing the language outside the classroom without any direct interventions.
