As a result of growing digital technologies in the financial sector, the traditional slow lending process is being replaced by fast and easy digital lending systems that can make decisions in real time. Both lenders and borrowers have experienced the benefits of digital lending, the activities of microfinance institutions have expanded rapidly and the volume of digital microloans has increased significantly worldwide, including Mongolia. At the same time with the growing volume of digital microloans in Mongolia, the rationality of credit risk management has been becoming more critical. Credit quality is the most important factor in optimal credit risk management. It depends on determining the customer's creditworthiness and making accurate credit decisions. This research focuses on a credit scoring system to improve the digital loan evaluation system of the Mongolian microfinance institute. This study aims to contribute to the development of possible credit scoring systems for Mongolian microfinance institutions by comparing several machine-learning approaches based on loan datasets of a non-banking microfinance institute in Mongolia. The result shows the ensemble methods Random Forest and XGBoost Tree's accuracies are higher than other machine learning models for the microloan borrowers' repayment status prediction.

Organizations need to focus on employee loyalty, commitment and retention in a dynamic business environment to gain a competitive advantage over rural areas. The success factors for organizational development and well-being are excessively contingent on engaged and skilled employees. This study is anticipated to examine the mediating role of employee loyalty and job engagement on the relationships between job satisfaction and intention to leave in the case of bank employees in Mongolia. The study used data from 444 employees across two private banks in Mongolia. Reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to analyze the data. Results showed a moderately positive relationship between job satisfaction and job engagement and a negative relationship with the intention to leave. Employee loyalty had a weak and negative correlation with job engagement. Employee loyalty was found to partially mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and the intention to leave while job engagement showed no mediation effect. Improving job satisfaction can enhance employee loyalty and reduce intentions to leave the bank. However, enhancing engagement may not affect turnover intentions. Banks should focus on building loyalty among satisfied employees to retain talent. The mediating role of loyalty highlights its importance in influencing whether satisfied employees consider leaving. This study demonstrates the importance of employee loyalty in partially explaining the mechanism behind the relationship between job satisfaction and retention among Mongolian bank employees. The findings provide insights to help banks improve talent management strategies and retention.

Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are two frameworks that have gained considerable attention in recent years, particularly in the context of organizational sustainability and shared value creation for the stakeholders including local communities. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a strategic management methodology aims to achieve a balance between financial performance and non-financial goals and objectives, while ensuring that the organizational objectives aligned with the business strategy developed by Robert Kaplan and David Norton. Sustainable development has become a global concern as the world faces environmental and social challenges. The United Nations' SDG provide a framework for addressing these challenges, but implementing the SDGs into an organization's strategic planning can be challenging. This paper proposes a new model called the three-dimensional model (3D model), which combines the SDGs with the BSC to help organizations integrate sustainability into their strategic planning. The proposed 3D model provides a practical approach to organizations seeking to create long-term value while also addressing environmental and social challenges. The business environment has become exceptionally unsteady and competitive recently. Information technology advancements and ever-changing customer preferences have played a substantial role in an increase in the significance of highly productive, committed, and loyal employees. This study sought to explore the role of organizational trust as a mediator in the connection between job satisfaction and employee loyalty within the context of two private-sector banks in Mongolia. The research involved the random selection of private two bank employees and questionnaires to collect data. Subsequently, the study conducted rigorous analyses to assess the reliability and correlation of variables, employing structural equation modeling (SEM). Notably, the study examined job satisfaction as an independent variable, employee loyalty as a dependent variable, and organizational trust as a mediating variable. The study's findings reveal a moderate, positive impact of job satisfaction on both employee loyalty and organizational trust. Additionally, the research results showed that organizational trust has a positive moderate effect on employee loyalty. Furthermore, the research outcomes illuminate the mediating role of trust in the organization within the relationship between job satisfaction and loyalty.

The current paper aims to examine factors that influence borrowers’ intention to borrow from Peer-to-Peer lending platform in Mongolia. This topic has been attracting researchers’ interest especially since 2008 when the 3rd round of fintech development starts over the developed countries. The most of those studies focus on investigating the factors that explain borrowers’ intention to borrow, and a few of them research this perspective from the investors’ side. It is hardly to find the study that explain intentions of parties to participate in a P2P lending platform in Mongolia. Our research tries to fill this gap by studying factors influencing borrowers’ intention in Mongolian fintech market. We have used the TAM model as a theoretical framework and have collected survey questionnaires from investors and borrowers from all fintech companies in Mongolia. The result shows that borrowers’ intention is mostly driven by initial trust and perceived risk. Other variables, perceived ease of use and perceived security, have no impact on borrowers’ decisions to participate in P2P platform.

Mongolia is a landlocked country with huge mineral resources, and the main driver of economic development is the mining sector. According to the numerical data of the sectors that make up the GDP, the mining and extraction sector accounts for an average of 21% over the last 10 years. Mining product export covers 85 percent of our country's total exports, of which coal alone accounts for 40 percent. Although our country is among the top 10 coal exporting countries, it is the only country that exports coal by land transportation. As of 2019, a total of 36.5 million tons of coal was exported, 99 percent of which was exported to China. Gashuun Sukhait Port is a strategically important port, starting from the territory of Tsogt-tsetsii sum of Umnugobi province, passing through the Tsagaan-Khad settlement area of Khanbogd Sum, and crossing the border with a total distance of 239 km. The installed capacity of this road is 3,000-4,000 cars, but in 2019, a total of 18,000 cars are transporting coal on this route, which has a negative impact on transportation time, costs, and border crossing. In this study, Analogic 5.0 software was used to calculate the cost and overall economic benefits of changing the existing bulk coal transport to containerized transport to determine the appropriate shipping volume. Энэхүү судалгааны ажлаар Ковид-19 цар тахлын үед хэрэгжүүлсэн бодлого хөтөлбөр зээлийн чанарт нөлөө үзүүлсэн эсэхийг тодорхойлохыг зорьсон ба судалгааг 2016-2021 оны банкны салбарын болон эдийн засгийн үзүүлэлтийг ашиглан хийлээ. Few studies investigated user adoption of cryptocurrency. This study tries to fill this gap and it is the very first study that is trying to investigate user adoption of cryptocurrency in Mongolia. In this study, technology readiness aspects – Optimism, Innovativeness, Discomfort, and Insecurity are used. We used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework and have collected survey questionnaires from cryptocurrency users of cryptocurrency platforms in Mongolia. The result shows that optimism has a positive impact and discomfort has a negative impact on cryptocurrency adoption.
